Monolog I am very impatient and I do not care about anyone but myself. When the ship is sinking the only one I am worried about is I. All the other people are worried about the king and right now I don't really care if he sinks. Boatswain, I must admit has good skills. No one ended up dying. He acts well quick on his feet. I was searching the whole island for Ferdinand. I however do not search all that well and I go lazy about searching for him. I do not care if we find Ferdinand. If we don’t find him then I’m just one step closer to taking the throne. That is ultimate goal. I tell my brother Alonso that he is to be blamed for Ferdinand's death because he should not have married an African. At this point it isn’t known whether Ferdinand is dead or not. I want Alonso to feel guilty. Maybe he will feel so guilty that he will leave the throne. I believe that I have a high chance of taking the throne if we do not find Ferdinand. I do not believe that I should fight Antonio. I want to make peace with him. The last thing I want to do is lose my life. Antonio is really serious about killing Alonso and wants me to join him in the murder. Ariel is blaming all of us for taking Prospero out to sea with his child and leaving them there. Which I think is crazy talk because if we didn’t take him he would have been upset that we did not include him. Ferdinand and Miranda’s wedding is going to happen in the near future.
